January 2010 - pdf file Report of the Associate Director 2009 released (PDF file 258KB)

October 2009 - Public Health Wales goes live. From Thursday 1 October, responsibility for the functions and services of Newborn Hearing Screening Wales has been taken on by the new NHS Trust, Public Health Wales.

Services provided by the Congenital Anomaly Register and Information Service (CARIS), the NPHS, Screening Services, the Wales Centre for Health and the Welsh Cancer Intelligence and Surveillance Unit (WCISU) will remain unchanged. So will the names and contact details for each of these services.

September 2009 - In February 2007, Newborn Hearing Screening Wales (NBHSW) began a project funded by the National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Healthcare (NLIAH) to develop a formally accredited programme of learning for NBHSW screeners with future potential for career-pathway development. June 2008 - Members of the management team represented NBHSW at the recent hearing screening conference held in Cernobbio. The conference was well attended by representatives from hearing screening programmes all over the world. [read more...]
